If you have any suggestions, questions, messages, or you just want to say "Hi," please fill out the form below.

Hideout has become known for our superior culinary skills. We offer a range of unique made-from-scratch pizzas, using our secret recipes that you cannot find in other pizzerias or restaurants. We also serve dishes commonly found in Cafés or Bistros. Our focus is on superior quality and made-to-order meals that are designed for sharing. And we smoke our own meat! We have a diverse menu that includes cuisines from around the world, and our weekly specials are on another level. Hideout differs from conventional sit-down restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed, casual, fun, and informal. The setting resembles a basement or dive-bar, but don’t be fooled by the range of modestly priced beverages, we also offer high-end premium wines, mixed drinks, and beverages that pair extremely well with our delicious food.

Reservations are not required, but they are highly encouraged for groups of 6 & over, and definitely a good idea for large groups of 10 or more. Most of our patrons are walk-in customers.

Absolutely! We cannot really label Hideout as “family friendly” due to some of our decor (including what some customers write on the dollar bills they attach to the walls). However, kids are 100% welcome at any age, and we even have games to help entertain them, including a variety of board games and an original Ms. Pacman arcade machine. We also have a kid’s menu with a great selection of kid-friendly meals. And all appetizers can be ordered half size for the little ones. We also have street tacos which are small and excellent for kids.

Definitely. Many items that are not listed on the menu as being Gluten Free have GF substitutes. From the bread to our GF pizzas, as well as our 12″ tortillas, and our corn tortillas for tacos. We have meals specifically for vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians. Most of the items on our menu can be prepared to meet any dietary requirement, so please do not hesitate to ask. All of our dressings and sauces as well as our sides are made with GF and vegetarian ingredients, with some being 100% vegan. We make an extra effort to never cross contaminate any food item or ingredient.

Yes, though certain State restrictions may apply.

We serve organic coffee, hot & iced teas, milk, a variety of sodas, a variety of sparkling waters, as well as 6 juices and lemonade. We currently have 14 drafts that rotate with a variety of craft brews including sours, IPAs, dark lagers, stouts or porters, lagers, pilsners, pale ales, blondes, wheat beers, ciders, etc. We always have at least 1 cider on tap as well as 1-2 dark beers. We almost always have our signature, and super affordable Hideout Pale Ale. For cocktails we can make almost anything, but some of the favorites over the years have been our Green Tea Shot, Gunny Bear Shot, Pear Elderflower Martini, Elderflower 75 as well our French 75, and all of our various Moscow Mules are extremely popular, Mexican coffee, Lemon Drop, and Sneaky Steve. We also offer an excellent selection of bottled and canned value brand through craft beers and ciders as well as a nice selection of affordable house wines.

Yes. Every Wednesday is our karaoke night. We regularly host bands and DJs on the weekends, especially Spring through early Fall. We offer a variety of discounts and specials on cocktails, beers, and food, including a variety of meals not listed on the menu year-round.

Yes, we regularly host groups of 10-16 people. We have an area that is sectioned off for larger “private” parties and have a dedicated staff devoted to providing excellent service for your event. We can provide decorations, or you can bring your own. Want to have a special menu for your event? No problem, we got you covered. Make an appointment with Gabriel and David Lee, our seasoned culinary experts, and they will help you create a menu that will have your guests talking about your event for years to come. The important thing to keep in mind is that Hideout is a small venue, so very large groups will not have a lot of open space. But we are the perfect option for accommodating smaller groups.

Yes, we have a small outdoor patio. About half is covered and fenced in. There are two entrances into Hideout from the patio. The patio has 3 picnic tables as well as 4 smaller tables that can accommodate up to 4 people. Many customers enjoy patio dining, especially in the Spring and Fall months. It is a regular hangout spot for folks throughout the day.

We offer pick-up and delivery year-round. In the Winter months we are not usually able to provide delivery, but from Spring through Fall we offer limited local delivery.

Hideout is in the back of The Corner Stores at the corner of 6th St and CA140. On 6th St right across from our stair entrance is a medium size dirt parking lot used heavily for us as well as other nearby businesses. There is some street parking also along there. On the other side is the 5th St parking lot which is a large parking area used by many businesses local. Parking is easy.

Yes, many of our ingredients are purchased from local farms, ranches, and bakeries. We use providers closest to Mariposa, then expand to regional sources when we cannot find ingredients locally, and we finally use Statewide suppliers for items that are difficult to find. Due to the large selection of menu items that we offer, we cannot always source locally.

What a find, we are from the valley and have been looking for a place in Mariposa that can accommodate our family on our venture up to the park. Nestled on the back lower level off the Main Street and under the nice shops, this gem resides, This place has games for the kids, pool table , and other activities. The menu is balanced for the whole family, we started with baked potato skins and had the prime rib dip, prime rib sliders, pizza and cheese pasta. All passed the kids approval and the adults. The ceiling is covered in $1 bills so of course we had to decorate and sign one! Service and food were good enough to become our favorite new spot and to put into our rotation when return. Thank you

We went on Christmas night for my birthday and I couldn’t have had a better time. A dusty little bar with great food and great service. We had some shrimp, a French dip and took a pizza to go, all of which were delicious. If you want a great little bar that is far from a stuffy restaurant this is the perfect place. Highly recommend.

If you ever go to Mariposa which is on the way to the Western entrance to Yosemite park, you absolutely have to stop here. This is one of the overall greatest dive bars we've ever been to. The food is shockingly great. The drinks are even better. The atmosphere is over the top. Sometimes there's even live music at night. We have a property here in the town of Mariposa which by itself is worth The Visit. But this is the centerpiece. You must stop here. The people that work here are awesome. And you will never forget your experience if you come here. I guarantee a promise you. I did not add pictures because we have been here many times But you will take more than a dozen pictures If you show up here. when you get here, you'll see what I'm talking about.
